i love when you listen to a new song and you’re like three seconds in and you’re already like yes this pleases me it is mine
you know what’s a trope that never gets tired is when theyre bouncing around in the plot and suddenly an important name crops up- it’s blorbo bleebus. and some dude is like who the hell is blorbo bleebus. and we immediately cut to our new friend blorbo bleebus pulling the most absolutely buckwild shit you’ve ever seen
enhanced edition of this trope is when they cut to blorbo bleebus doing something entirely contradictory to how they were just introduced, like "i know a professional, someone discreet who can handle things quietly" cut to blorbo bleebus in the wildest fucking bar brawl you've ever seen, screaming their own name and stopping to down shots while still holding some dude in a headlock

When people compare the greatness that is The Simpsons to other animated shows like Family Guy it makes me want to set myself on fire
I went on a date last year and jokingly said “Don’t ask me I’m just a girl” and giggled at a 35 year old man thinking he’d get the reference and instead he said “that’s what I like to hear.”

This episode aired in 1994 and was a direct response to Mattel issuing their first talking Barbie which said phrases like “Will we ever have enough clothes?” and “Math class is tough”
A group that dubbed itself the Barbie Liberation Organization tried to create awareness of gender stereotypes by switching the voice boxes of a few hundred Barbies with those of G.I. Joe dolls, which made G.I. Joes that said things like “What kind of wedding will you have?” and Barbies that said “Vengeance is mine”
I want a barbie that craves vengeance.

Du-sik’s development for episode 7 and 8 is literally chef’s kiss.
We remember when Oh Yoon told him to find someone who he can lean on and lessen his burdens to. He got so defensive at that time and replied “I don’t have any.” It shows how Du-sik has this abandonment issues. It was first shown when he didn’t took care of the hedgehog because he doesn’t want to get attached.
Du-sik tends to pull away when he feels that someone is getting way too close, hence putting walls around Hye-jin. Stopping any feelings, but subconsciously seeks out for her.
But on these episodes, Du-sik is slowly breaking down those walls. Hye-jin is not even trying to to break it, but Du-sik is gently doing it for her. I personally think that Director Ji deserves a little credit for this.
When Du-sik got drunk, he’s crying on Hye-jin’s shoulders. When he got sick, he lets Hye-jin take care of him. Even eating that nasty porridge. When Hye-jin hugged him, he held her tighter. And when Hye-jin was about to kiss him, he didn’t move.
You see ep1-6 Du-sik will get awkward and make fun of their situation. He will walk away, and come up with stupid reasoning like a biological crisis. But ep7-8 Du-sik wants Hye-jin. It maybe subconscious but he wants Hye-jin to be that person who he can lean on. Noticed how Hye-jin was giving her dumpling to director Ji, then Du-sik steals the dumplings. He got so jealous that Hye-jin is taking care of Seong-hyun. My boy got so happy when Hye-jin sat beside him. So precious. And now, Du-sik sees Hye-jin more in a different light. I like how the writers are slowly incorporating that, and how we got to see some parallels from the previous episodes.
